1 day Rwanda gorilla trekking

Overview

This is a short tour in Rwanda that takes you to Volcanoes national park in the northwestern part of the land of a thousand hills. Spend an hour with the gorillas that will create everlasting memories. You need to wake up early in the morning since the journey to the park takes about 3 hours but trust me on this experience, you will never be turned back since you will get in touch with your closest relatives. The tour is suitable for those with a short time in Rwanda maybe they have come for a meeting, business tourism or conference.

Detailed Itinerary

Wake up early in the morning at 4:00am, since you will have spent a night in one of the Kigali hotels and the driver guide will take you to Volcanoes national park – home of 12 habituated gorilla families. On arrival, you will take part in a briefing with fellow trekkers by the park guide ranger. Guidelines to follow such as don’t smoke, drink or eating in front of gorillas, don’t make noise, keeping a distance of 7m a must, don’t throw rubbish in the park and many more. Trekking begins under the guidance of the park ranger well-armed to protect you in case of any attack from wild animals. Meet other creatures such as golden monkeys, small primates like the colobus monkeys, vervet monkeys, red-tailed monkeys and many more.

Other attractions can be plant species, bird species, insects and many more. Spend an hour in the presence of gorillas taking in fond memories and later head back to the offices of the park to meet your driver guide. Head back to Kigali and be dropped at any agreed point and this marks the end of 1 day Rwanda gorilla trek.
