2 Days Kigali to Bwindi Gorilla Trekking

2 Days Kigali to Bwindi Gorilla Trekking

You need this offer and the number of days for a reunion with your cousins in the misty Jungle of Bwindi Impenetrable national park in Uganda; home to the highest concentration of individual mountain Gorillas. Well planned; this trip sees you feel the vibes of two east African Countries, and reduce the hustle of over a 10 hours’ drive from Entebbe international airport, to 3 hours from Kigali international airport-Rwanda.

You will enjoy an epic drive from Kigali to Bwindi, trek the gentle apes – mountain Gorillas and visit the local communities if you so wish. The trip starts and ends in Kigali, Rwanda.

Detailed tour.

Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

From the agreed pickup point; probably your hotel in Kigali or at the airport, our driver-guide will meet and brief you about this adventure. The 3-4 hour drive to Bwindi Impenetrable national park-Uganda starts after the interactions; with amazing views of the rolling hills, scattered homesteads and flourishing plantations.

You will cross the scenic Rwanda – Uganda border post with great photos and document verification.  There will be lunch en route and then arrival at your lodge in the evening for refreshment, and optional cultural adventure, dinner, and a nap.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking and departure.

After enjoying a delicious cup of coffee very early in the morning, you will set off to the park headquarters for a pre trekking briefing by the park rangers; experts who are well conversant with this misty Jungle and its residents.  Bwindi hosts the highest number of mountain Gorillas in the vast Virunga chain of mountains. The mountain Gorillas are human’s closest relatives, sharing about 98% of human genes and are found only in the continent of Africa.

During the Briefing, your documents will be verified, Gorilla trekking rules stated, and then the rangers will allocate you to the Gorilla family of your choice. The trekking exercise last time is determined by your speed and the directions the apes have taken, though it can be about 1-8 hours, plus a bonus of one hour for photography and watching the apes relax, feed and groom. After encountering your relatives, you will then return to the lodge for some lunch, as you check out for a departure Journey; a drive to Kigali for a flight to the next destination.

End of safari.
