Overview
Safaris are made which contain more days than this, but believe me, this 3 days Rwanda gorillas and golden monkeys will be colorful and memorable since it is a primate safari that consists of few days which leaves you remembering everything that a safari was all about.
It will take you to volcanoes national park the only park among the four recognized protected areas in Rwanda that harbors mountain gorillas. It will open your eyes too, with the golden monkeys including other primates plus beautiful bird species.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1. Be picked up from the hotel and transferred to volcanoes national park
Immediately as you get to the airport your safari driver guide will be waiting to welcome and rescue you with the luggage. He drives to the nearby hotel for a simple snack as he briefs you about the safari.
Embark on your journey and drive heading to the volcanoes national park located in the Northwestern parts of Rwanda. Check-in with the booked lodge for lunch with an optional activity after.
Day 2. Gorilla trekking
Arise early morning and have your breakfast then after the drive heading the park headquarters for briefing and be given a group to trek with. Only eight people are allowed to trek with a gorilla family in one hour taking photos, learning their behaviors and so on. Take note children under fifteen years are not allowed to trek gorillas. After one expires while with gorillas the ranger guide will lead you back to the offices to meet your driver and move back to the lodge for lunch.
In the afternoon, after having your lunch you can opt to do any activity or relax.
Day 3. Golden monkey trekking and departure
The golden monkey is a bit trekking easy compared to gorilla trekking since they don’t move long distances reason being they are normally seen feeding on bamboo shoots and getting onto the surrounding gardens for potatoes. Here taking photos is not easy since you you keep on following them. This experience does not last longer therefore, you will drive to immediately after the experience heading to Kigali. You will have your late lunch in the city and be dropped off at the hotel or the airport and fly back home.
