This is a brief tour that joins Tsavo west and Tsavo east national parks. These are two separate national parks in eastern Kenya, which were once combined as one park but are now separate, each offering unique wildlife experiences. The parks are famous for man eater lions and dust-red elephants, but also other mammals call it home, including zebras, buffaloes, rhino, leopards, waterbucks and other small species of antelopes.
Bird population is abundant here with over 500 bird species thriving in both parks. Various safari activities can be done including Cave exploration, Game viewing, fish watching, Underwater Hippo and caving at the Shetani caves.

Day 1: Pick up from Nairobi and have a game safari in Tsavo West National Park.
After breakfast in Nairobi, have a road transfer south-east wards along Nairobi-Mombasa highway. This transfer lasts for about 7-8 hours. Arrive for lunch and begin an evening wildlife exploration. Tsavo west is a vast extension of golden savannah, open plains, Chyulu hills and rock out crops, woodland savannah and semi desert.
During an evening game drive, you will be rewarded with sightings of red elephants, buffaloes, man-eater lions, Oryx, gerenuk and abundant species of birdlife.
Return in the evening to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Transfer to Tsavo East National Park.
Have an early breakfast while admiring the vast savannah plains that surround your lodge. Depart from Tsavo west National Park to her twin, Tsavo East National park which is just a few kilometers away. Enroute you’ll visit interesting sites, like Mzima Springs for hippos and crocodiles watching. Proceed to Tsavo east for lunch and afternoon game drive. On this game drive, you will specifically be looking out for the infamous man-eater lions, as well as other inhabitants including buffaloes, elephants, antelopes and so much more.
Day 3: Explore Tsavo East and return to Nairobi.
Have breakfast, and start an early sunrise game safari to the heart of Tsavo east. Among the many predators that fill up Tsavo east’s golden plains, also include a vast population of mammals that often fall prey for the hungry, furious lions. Some of the wildlife species to look out for include rhinos, red elephants, buffaloes, waterbucks, lesser kudu, crocodiles, gerenuk and a prolific population of birdlife, over 400 species recorded in this park.
After this exciting game viewing experience, return for breakfast and check out to begin a return transfer to Nairobi. This marks the end of your 3 days Tsavo wildlife exploration safari.
