Our 3 days Lake Nakuru & Naivasha Tour is a wonderful opportunity of being whisked away into an African Wilderness for game viewing and birding excursion. Our driver guides offer excellent knowledge of Kenya’s spectacular tourist sites, with comprehensive information on wildlife-rich areas, excellent birding places and fabulous photographic opportunities during this short safari.
The safari begins and ends in Nairobi City but involves exploring two jaw-dropping and scenic National Parks where Rhinos, Cape buffaloes, lions, Leopards, wildebeests, Defassa waterbucks, black and white colobus monkeys, zebras, Masai giraffes, warthogs, Olive baboons as well as numerous bird species including the greater and lesser flamingos, pink-backed pelicans and many others can be sighted.
Detailed Itinerary.
Day 1: Drive from Nairobi City to Lake Naivasha.
Our safari begins in the morning (8:00am to be precise) in Nairobi City. Our safari driver/guide will pick you up from your Hotel or any other location of choice. Please make sure to confirm your pick-up point prior to departure and our destination is Lake Naivasha. Be briefed about the safari, receive your receipts and start the 3-4 hours’ journey, north-westwards of Nairobi City to Lake Naivasha National Park while enjoying views of the breathtaking rift Valley.
Lunch will be on arrival at the Lodge and later undertake a boat cruise on Lake Naivasha for unforgettable birding experiences. Look-out for the numerous colorful flamingos, African spoonbill, Grey-capped warblers, weaverbirds, Red-billed fire finch, red-knobbed coot and African fish eagles among others. During this boat cruise, you will also come across crocodiles and Hippos, then return to the Lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Road transfer from Lake Naivasha to Lake Nakuru National Park.
Wake up for breakfast and check-out of the Lodge for a transfer to Lake Nakuru National Park, also within the Rift Valley region with a game drive. The game drive with endless wildlife viewing opportunities is the perfect way to welcome you to Lake Nakuru National Park for delicious meal while enjoying views of the wilderness. Your journey takes only about 2-3 hours and after your lunch head for a game drive where lions, elephants, Rhinos, Defassa waterbucks, zebras, reticulated giraffes, Defassa waterbucks and common elands will be spotted.
Bird species including the greater and lesser flamingos, Bateleur, Grey-crowned cranes, greater-spotted eagles, Crab plovers and European rollers will be encountered during the game drive. Retreat back to the Lodge with memories of the wildlife and bird species still fresh for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Travel back to Nairobi City with drop-off at a hotel or Jomo Kenyatta Airport.
On the last day of your safari head for a morning game drive after a lovely breakfast at the Lodge and checking-out. On this game drive, leopards, spotted hyenas, cheetahs, lions and other early risers will be spotted in addition to reticulated giraffes, Defassa waterbucks and Oribis then set-off for Nairobi City.
Lunch will be on arrival at Nairobi City and drop-off at a Hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for departure flight to your next destination or back home. This marks the end of your 3 days Lake Nakuru & Naivasha Tour.
