Uganda Group Safaris

Uganda Group Safaris are a time when different kinds of people come together to go and travel whichever area, they so desire. Cycling tours also are accommodative for all types of cyclers i.e., the experienced and inexperienced cyclers. The cycling is to most major areas in Uganda where the cyclers instead of being driven in cars, get a closer experience with the natural beautiful environment. White water rafting adventure.

This adventure happens along River Nile, either in Murchison Falls National Park or Jinja town, a place known for its beauty in culture and rich history. Big Five safaris are common around the big game mammals such as elephants, buffalos, lions, leopards and rhinos. These are all present in Uganda’s wilderness. They are located in the various scattered game parks in Uganda, and also Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary which is the main home of Rhinos in Uganda.

The reason is that rhinos are an endangered species due to poaching that has had an effect on their breeding and survival. So, the government of Uganda and other international wildlife organizations saw fit to find ways of protecting these rhinos. Other animals can be found in Queen Elizabeth National Park, Murchison Falls National Park, Kidepo Valley National Park and other major national parks across the country.

Mountain hiking.

Uganda is endowed with a number of highlands readily available for hiking expeditions. The hiking experience is more fun and memorable especially when tourists chose to hike in groups. Apart from epic photography, people also get encouraged to keep hiking and barely get to feel the fatigue along the way.

Hiking safaris can be done along the legendary Mt. Rwenzori and Mt. Elgon and Virunga ranges of Muhabura, Sabyinyo and Gahinga. Other interesting hiking points in Uganda include Wanale Hill in Mbale district, Kagulu hill in Buyende district, and others. Hiking destinations such as Mountains Elgon and Rwenzori, the adventure can go on for days before tourists reach the highest altitude points. This introduces hikers to camping at various grounds along the mountains.

Along the way, hikers can view the beauty that lies beyond the flat plains, and also get a feel of high-altitude areas. It’s recommended that the intending hikers should be in a good physical and mental state before taking on these adventures.

Some of the other activities that are perfect for group tours include nature walks, birding, sport fishing, swimming, horseback riding, bungee jumping and canoeing, etc.

Best time to visit Uganda.

Uganda is best visited in the months of June to September, and in the later months of December to February. These months provide the best conditions for group tours since the months are dominated with abundant sunshine and easy navigation even in the thickest forests. Therefore, visitors intending to undertake Uganda Group Safaris should look out for these months.
