This has been a difficult question for everyone in the world including prominent birders. This is because most birds in the world are so beautiful having eye-catching colors that everyone will not want to leave. Researchers came up with different methods to identify the most beautiful birds in the world, considering the different visible features such as the beak, color design, shape among others.
These are the most beautiful birds;
Wood duck.
A wood duck has over five beautiful colors that are so eye-catching and these are black, red, white, grey, brown and yellow. You can identify males from the females in terms of color but their size remains the same. Like any other wildlife, also make wood duck attracts females during the breeding season through their plumage. Research says that they are commonly spotted in North America in the streams, swamps and marshes.
Golden pheasant.
The golden pheasant is known to be the most beautiful bird in the world due to having beautiful colors. Red, golden yellow, green at the back pale brown tail and dark red shoulders, the female is dull in color as the male are brighter and again, the female is shorter than the male.
The tail measures three-thirds of the total length which means that it has a long tail. Mostly, they can be found in North and Central forests of China.
Scarlet Macaw.
A member of the macaw family, Scarlet Macaw is one of the most beautiful birds and massive. Its vibrant plumage makes it stand out for recognition hence fame. They have colors like Red, blue, green, white and black. The scarlet macaw is normally found in North America. Their beak is curved which makes it to also be unique, and they fly up to a speed of 35km/h.
Flamingos.
Flamingos are mostly common almost on every continent apart from Antarctica and are famous to be the wading bird. They may have a red-purple color and have six species, long legs and throat with a curved beak. Their main food is planktons, fish and larvae. They normally live in a group of about thousands.
Peacocks.
A Peacock is a male while peahen is the female in the peafowl family. There are three kinds found in the whole world and these are Indian peafowl, Congo peafowl and green peafowl. The most common is Indian peafowl which can be spotted all over the whole world. The long tail with eyespot colors gives the peafowl beauty that is normally splashed wide.
Keel-billed toucan.
Keel-billed toucan and like the name suggests, this bird has the most beautiful bill all over the world. The bill can grow to 20cm load with different colors giving it a bright colored bill with colors like green, red and yellow. The bill is light because it’s hollow and to locate these birds, you need to go to South America.
Atlantic puffin.
Atlantic puffin or sea parrots can be located in Canada and United States and they normally spend most of the time swimming in the sea and their body keeps warm due to having water-resistant feathers. They are ranked to be one of the most flying birds with a speed of 50miles per hour.
Blue Jay.
Not only being one of the most intelligent birds in the world, Blue Jay are also beautiful. They are commonly spotted in North America. They have blue, black and white feathers that make them eye-catching. They change the voice by either mimic voices of other birds or singing to their song Jay Jay.
Bohemian waxwing.
It’s brownish-grey in color with white and yellow edging, it’s known to have black masks on the face. To trace them, one needs to go to Canada, Alaska and North America and they also move in large flocks.
Hyacinth Macaw.
A Hyacinth Macaw is in a parrot native to most parts of central and South America. It is the most flying bird of these species. Brazil is one of the best destination where to spot these parrots. The bright cobalt with a yellow ring makes it stand out.
