It is from the airport that you will meet your safari guide to provide details of the safari, required documentation, gorilla and golden monkey permits, receipts and trip schedules.

It is also at this point that you will ask and receive answers for any burning questions. Depending on your arrival time, head for Kampala City tour and be driven to serene Hotel for Dinner and Overnight stay.

Day 2: Drive southwards to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

Early morning, be served breakfast and embark on the trip southwards to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and the journey lasts 8-9 hours. Expect several stopovers and the first one is at Uganda Equator crossing in Kayabwe, approximately 72 kilometers from the City Center.

Your thirty minutes’ break involves water experiments that demonstrate how water swirls clockwise and anti-clockwise when in different hemispheres (North and south poles). Take pictures of the demonstrations as well as when standing at the iconic landmark then proceed for lunch at Igongo Cultural Center and arrive Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Mountain Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and transfer to Volcanoes National Park.

Embark on the invigorating trek through Bwindi Impenetrable National Park after short briefing from Park Rangers. The length as well as difficulty of gorilla treks greatly depends on the movement of the allocated gorilla group as well as pace of trekking. Before even beginning the treks, make sure to wear waterproof hiking boots, long sleeved shirts, safari pants and have enough drinking water as well as energy-giving snacks to ease your treks.

Treks usually begin slowly and are chilly but as you hike higher elevations, you begin feeling the heat and after 1-5 hours of trekking, spend one hour observing and taking photos of these spectacular endangered great apes. Walk back to the trailhead to join your safari guide for a drive back to the Lodge for Lunch. After Lunch, embark on a trip to Volcanoes National Park in the Northern Province of Rwanda and this involves crossing the border through Cyanika border point. After this rewarding encounter, get your bags ready for a drive to Kigali with remarkable sceneries of the undulating hills of Northern Rwanda.
