Overview
This will be a great safari of 5 days but it will take you to the most interesting and memorial places mostly the Karisimbi hike which will open your eyes to only beautiful sceneries, like hills and mountains, green vegetation, the caldera and many more while standing on one point, the top of the hike. The safari will also lead you to Volcanoes national park for the great adventure of the primates apes Gorillas which are our next relative that shares 96% of DNA humans and other primates all in only 5 days which is so great. Detailed Itinerary
Day 1. Depart Kigali and transfer to volcanoes national park
Meet our well-behaved driver guide who will take you through a quick briefing about the safari and start your day one with a driver heading to volcanoes national park. Have a stopover at the park headquarters for check in and document checks, then embark on your journey to the booked hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2. Hike mount Karisimbi
Hiking is one of the activities that makes someone free from some diseases and makes you physically fit therefore, after your early morning breakfast you will drive to the starting point to meet your guide for a briefing about the hike which also includes expectations and so on. You expect to camp at a certain point for dinner and an overnight stay as wait to proceed with the hike to the next day to the top.
Day 3. Proceed to Mount. Karisimbi summit and descend to Volcanoes National Park
You will wake up this day early morning, have your well-prepared breakfast and continue with the hike to the top of mountain Karisimbi. You will have a great view of the caldera, hills and mountains, green vegetation and surrounding area while standing at the top of mount Karisimbi in volcanoes national park.
After an amazing exploration, you will descend as explore more back to the starting point to meet your car and drive back to the lodge for late lunch and relax.
Day 4. Gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park
On this 4 day of safari, it will be an amazing day for the great ape’s adventure, seeing them in the wild, spending time with them and learning more about them. Therefore, after breakfast in the early morning, meet your driver guide and drive heading to the park headquarters to meet the park ranger guide for briefing and having a group.
Only eight people are allowed to trek a gorilla group in only three hours with one being spent in presence with them. After this amazing adventure retreat to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. With an optional activity in the afternoon.
Day 5. Retreat to Kigali
Arise early morning on this day which is the last day of the 5 days Rwanda gorillas and Karisimbi hike, enjoy the morning sunrise while having your delicious breakfast then after embark on your journey to Kigali.
Have lunch in the city of Kigali thereafter have a short city tour and visit the Kigali genocide memorial site or any craft shop and purchase some souvenirs to take home. Depending on the time of your flight be dropped at the hotel/lodge or the airport and fly back home.
