Detailed Itinerary

Day 1. Arrival at Entebbe airport and transfer to Bwindi

Bwindi forest impenetrable national park is located in the western region of Uganda. It can take about 9 hours to drive from Kampala to Bwindi forest impenetrable national park, therefore immediately as you get at the airport you will meet your safari driver guide to take you through a quick briefing about the safari and start your journey to Bwindi forest impenetrable national park. You will have your stop over at Kayabwe equator for a picnic lunch, visit the craft shop to buy some souvenirs, take photos and many more.

After all, is done, proceed with the journey to Bwindi and check in with the booked lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2. Gorilla trekking with optional activity

Bwindi forest impenetrable nation is home to the largest number of gorillas 459 gorillas that are almost half the number of gorillas in the whole of Africa. All activities done in the park starts at the park headquarters offices. Therefore, for your early morning breakfast, you will drive to the office for briefing and grouping by the park ranger who will be your guide. After the briefing, you will set off for the field in search of gorillas. Immediately after switching off for the field, only three hours are recommended for the trek that is; one in search of gorillas, one in presence with them and another one retreat to the starting point to meet your safari driver guide and drive back to the lodge for lunch.

After having your lunch depending on where you trekked a gorilla family, you can opt to do an evening nature walk and get a chance to spot other primates or relax and prepare for the departure the next morning.

Day 3. Retreat to Kampala

On day 3 of your safari, you will wake up early morning and have your well-prepared breakfast and start your journey back to Kampala. The next stopover will be at the equator (Kayabwe) for photography moments, lunch and continue to Kampala. If time permits, as soon as you get into the city of Kampala, do a simple city tour and visit any craft shop and buy some souvenirs to take home. The driver will drop you at the airport and fly back home.
