This 3-day safari to Murchison Falls National Park guarantees you the most spectacular views of not only wildlife but also the waterfalls and the sceneries. It is one most exceptional wildlife tour package designed for you to explore Uganda’s biggest game park- Murchison Falls National Park, also the only park located in the Northwestern area.
Murchison Falls National Park safari will enrich you with unforgettable wildlife encounters starting from rhinos at Ziwa rhino sanctuary in Nakasongola district, cape buffaloes, lions, elephants, giraffes, warthogs, and aquatic life on a launch cruise along the extensive Victoria Nile River. Victoria Nile River divides the park into 2 sections (the Northern & Southern sectors), and forms the powerful Murchison Falls that forces itself in a 7-8m narrow rock.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Safari to Ziwa rhino sanctuary & Murchison Falls National Park
You will use day one of this Uganda tour for transferring from Kampala to Murchison Falls National Park. The Park is reachable along the Kampala-Gulu highway, 6-7 hours on road and Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary will be your stopover point to track rhinos in the wild.
Enjoy a close encounter with rhinos during the guided nature walk and also expect to come across other animal species, birds and more.
Return from the foot-walk experience and settle for lunch in the safari lodge in/around the sanctuary. Drive from Ziwa to the beautiful Murchison Falls NP but first, you will head to the top of the falls before check in at the lodge.
Day 2: Set off for the morning game drive & afternoon cruise on the Victoria Nile
Arise early for breakfast and later meet with your driver guide ready for your game drive along the Northern circuit of the park. This extensive region of Murchison Falls NP guarantees incredible animal sightings of giraffes, hartebeests, warthogs, oribis, jackals, hyenas, birds, lions, elephants, buffaloes and more.
Drive back for lunch at the lodge with more sightings along the way. The afternoon cruise on the Victoria Nile River starts at 2:00pm for 2-3 hours, and brings you unforgettable sightings of aquatic life such as hippos, crocodiles, and plenty of water birds.
Day 3: Early game drive and return to Kampala
After a delicious breakfast, check out and you may undertake early morning game drive to catch up with early morning risers or set off direct to Kampala / Entebbe.
You will have lunch meal en-route to Kampala and drop off at the hotel which marks the end of this 3 days safari in Murchison Falls national park.
