3 Days Queen Elizabeth National Park Tour

Join our 3 days Queen Elizabeth N/park Safari, leading to Uganda’s medley of Wonders (Queen Elizabeth National Park) in western Uganda for unbeaten wildlife viewing and boat cruise experiences. Queen Elizabeth National Park is home to over 95 species of mammals as well as over 600 bird species occupying the Crater and freshwater Lakes, savannah plains, wetlands, woodlands, Kyambura forest and many other ecosystems of the Park.

Mweya Peninsular is frequented by lions and leopards, while the antelopes (especially Uganda Kobs, Topis, Defassa waterbucks and bushbucks) roam the Kasenyi Plains, the Kazinga Channel where boat cruises are conducted is where high concentrations of Hippos and Nile Crocodiles are found, Ishasha sector is haven to the tree-climbing lions while Kyambura Gorge is home to chimpanzees and other primate species while the Park’s wetlands are habitats to plethora of bird species.

Detailed Itinerary.

Day 1: Road trip from Kampala City to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Early breakfast and meet with your guide from any location in Kampala by 7:00am for a drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. This journey starts at 8:00am and lasts 5-6 hours with few stops at the Uganda Equator for photography as well as at Mbarara Town (Agip Motel) for lunch.

From Mbarara City straightaway proceed to your final destination while marveling at the Rift Valley Escarpment, sweeping grasslands, woodlands, and lush tea/banana plantations, spectacular scenery as well as the majestic long-horned Ankole Cattle. You will arrive the Park with a game drive while continuing to your booked place of stay for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Queen Elizabeth National Park – game drive and boat cruise.

Start this marvelous day with an early breakfast before undertaking the game drive along the Kasenyi Plains as well as Queen’s Mile Game Track. While on these Game Tracks, you will encounter small prides of lions, herds and lone Cape Buffaloes as well as elephants, Uganda Kobs, warthogs, Topis, Defassa waterbucks, Hippos and wide array of outstanding bird species. Break from this phenomenal game drive to enjoy a hefty Lunch at the Lodge.

After Lunch and short relaxation at the Lodge, be driven to the Mweya jetty where you will start the boat ride on Kazinga Channel. The Boat cruise on this water channel connecting Lakes Edward and George is where you should expect to come across large schools of Hippos and basks of Nile crocodiles.

Not only that, different species of birds especially African fish eagles, pelicans, Kingfishers, shoebill storks, saddle-billed storks, grey-crowned cranes and Papyrus gonolek among others should also be expected during this boat cruise. Later return back to the Lodge to dine and slumber.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kyambura Gorge and return back to Kampala City or Entebbe

Have breakfast and continue to Kyambura Gorge for a primate walk (Chimp trek) to encounter the Park’s only Chimpanzee population. This walk also increases chances of encountering other primate species such as black and white colobus monkeys, vervet monkeys, olive baboons and L’Hoest’s monkeys among others.

Exit the park with en-route lunch and arrive in Kampala City or Entebbe Town in the evening. This marks the end of your 3 days Queen Elizabeth national park safari.
