3 Days Serengeti National Park Safari

Searching for a short safari to the world’s safari capital, Serengeti? Look no further! This 3 days tour is the answer to all your safari dreams. Located in the north of Tanzania, west of Mount. Kilimanjaro, Serengeti avails her visitors amazing wildlife attractions, with the most famous sightings being wildebeest migration, but it is also home of the big 5 mammals, including huge herds of elephants, leopards, buffaloes, rhinos and lions. Serengeti is undoubtedly a place of interesting wildlife actions!

Detailed Safari.

Day 1: Arusha to Serengeti National Park.

Have an early breakfast at your hotel in Arusha, and at about 07h00 you’ll be pick up to begin a 6.5 hours’ journey northwards to Serengeti national park. The drive is intercepted by amazing sights and sounds of lush vegetation, rolling landscapes, a profusion of birdlife; among these include the scenic Ngorongoro crater and Olduvai Gorge – an archeological site where some of the earliest remains of humans were found. You may take an optional museum tour here for to explore amazing archeological artefacts and carvings.

Continue on the drive to Serengeti; a home of Tanzania’s and Africa’s highest population of savannah mammals. The name Serengeti was curved from “Siringuti” a Masai word which means endless plains; and this is proven by the endless plains that stretch to the horizons and only intercepted by Serengeti kopjes (Inselbergs).

Arrive in the afternoon for lunch and take on an interesting game drive to the plains of Serengeti. You will explore a profusion of mammal species including wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, buffaloes, elands, waterbucks, cheetahs, lions and so much more.

Day 2: Full day in Serengeti National park.

Take an early breakfast at 07h00 and thereafter head out to the endless plains of Serengeti. Begin with the central sector which is home to furious carnivores including lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas and vultures. But a few bird species can also be spotted here; ranging from herons, Ibis, stocks, pelicans, fowls, cranes, eagles and egrets.

Further southwards, you may be lucky to meet the magical migration which pulls together millions of wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles as they move northwards to Masai Mara in Kenya.

Have a picnic lunch and proceed on a game drive searching for the Big 5 mammals, including buffaloes, elephants, lions, leopards and rhinos. Other common sightings here are hippos, elands, impalas, giraffes, vervet monkeys, olive baboons, wild dogs and so many bird species.

Day 3: Serengeti to Arusha. Enroute game drive.

Get up before sunrise, have breakfast and undertake a very early morning drive to admire the scenery of Serengeti as the sun rises from the east. This is an important adventure as you get to see some animals you might have missed on the previous game drives. But also it is ideal for amazing photography and sigh seeing.

Return to the lodge after this short exploration, and check out as you head back to Arusha for departure flight, marking the end of this 3 days Serengeti national park safari.
