Safari in details.
Day 1: Pickup and Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Smart and ready for the trip, our company representative will gladly meet and brief you about the trip. Thereafter get behind the steering wheel for an amazing drive to Bwindi impenetrable national park, a full day drive, with amazing views of busy streets, rolling hills, plantations and African-style houses.
You will stop for some refreshment and lunch, before arriving at the lodge late in the evening for dinner and a nap. You can also decide to fly instead of a drive.
Day 2: Gorilla trekking and Batwa pygmies.
With a bright face and an anxious heart from bed, you will start this day with a cup of coffee, and then transfer for a pre trekking briefing very early in the morning at the sector headquarter. Only one Gorilla family of your choice will you encounter; deep in the misty Jungle, where they will be playing, relaxing and feeding. Searching for them might last for approximately 1-8 hours, and then an extra hour of watching them act, as you take photos.
Bwindi mountain gorillas are believed to be more lively and unique than the rest of the gorillas in other destinations. These apes can only be found in the continent of Africa, and finding them is dream come true. You will return to the lodge for lunch after an encounter with them, and then visit the Batwa pygmies; renowned forest occupants. Sunset means it’s time for dinner and a nap at the lodge.
Day 3: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi – afternoon canoe ride.
After enjoying a lip-smacking cup of coffee at the lodge, you will hit the road on a 2-hour drive to Lake Bunyonyi; a magical destination, surrounded by over 29 islands, with historical significance.
Upon arrival, you will check-in to the lodge for refreshment and lunch, before exploring Lake Bunyonyi in the afternoon, with visits to the different islands, such as the punishment island. The canoe experience lasts for about 1-2 hours before you return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Departure.
After breakfast, you will enjoy the beautiful sunrise view, the serene water and capture the islands surrounding the lake. This experience can be for about 30 minutes, before you checkout the lodge for a drive to Entebbe international airport for your flight.
You won’t leave the equator unattended to, but rather spend about 45 minutes, taking photos and watching the experts make experiments that prove the existence and effect of the point crossed by the equator; a marginal line that divides the world in two; northern and southern hemispheres.
End of safari.
