Detailed Trip
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Mgahinga National Park.
At the airport or your accommodation facility, our driver guide will happily meet and usher you into this seven-day Uganda safari; a trip that is packed with discovery, refreshment, and wonder. You will have a taste of deliciously made Ugandan glass of Juice, and then set off for a 9-10 hour drive to Mgahinga national park; home to the rare Mountain Gorillas.
The route to this park is partly tarmac and maram, offering amazing views of breathtaking landscape, undulating hills, and crossing active cities. Lunch en route. On arrival, you will check-in at the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Gorilla trekking and Batwa pygmies encounter.
In high spirits early in the morning, you will per take a lip-smacking breakfast meal at the lodge, and then head to the park headquarters for document verification and briefing. Mgahinga Gorilla national park has one very exciting Gorilla group open for trekking, and it is also less congested. Trekking takes approximately 1-7 hours, plus one additional hour with the apes, taking photos and observing the Mothers breastfeeding, infants play and the gentle silverbacks command the group.
Thereafter, you will return to the park headquarters for certification and lunch, before spending the rest of the evening taking uncovering the lifestyles of the Batwa pygmies, listening to their stories and songs. The good news is that at the end of the day, the stomach never remains empty and eyes get shut as the body rest in cozy bedding.
Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
First thing today will be enjoying a yummy breakfast meal at the lodge, and then a smooth drive to Queen Elizabeth national park-the most visited park in Uganda. You will have a stopover for Lunch and a little refreshment. Arrival at the park will be with a sunset drive, proceeding for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Game drive and Boat cruise.
After breakfast, you will head for a rewarding game drive experience in the vast Mweya region and the rest of the park, looking out and hoping to encounter the lions, leopards, zebras, Antelopes, warthogs, and giraffes among others. There will be a lunch break, and then spend about 2-3 hours exploring the quiet Kazinga channel; watching the hippopotamus, crocodiles, aquatic birds, and several mammals, while taking amazing selfies.
End this day in high spirits with an amazing dinner meal and a peaceful nap on the cozy beddings.
Day 5: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park.
On this day, you will start your morning with a yummy breakfast meal at the lodge, then check out for a long drive to Murchison Fall national park; home to the most powerful waterfall on earth; Murchison Fall. The drive to the park traverses great water bodies, cities, and undulating Hills. There will be lunch stopover, before proceeding with an epic drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6: Game drive, Boat cruise and Top of the falls hike.
After breakfast very early In the morning, you will head to the northern part of Murchison Fall national park for a rewarding 3-4 hour game drive, with hopes of physically identifying the size, color, and appearance of several mammal species, notably; lions, leopards, Buffaloes, elephants, Several antelope species, warthogs, and many more, feeding, assembling at your presence or having a hunt.
After the Game drive, you will have a lunch break, and then an evening boat cruise to the bottom of the fall and top of the fall hike. The waters make a tremendous sound, as they squeeze on the 7 meter gorge to the Nile. Top of the fall is not only magical but also marked by a permanent rainbow, which you can sight once there are some sunlight rays.
Day 7: Chimpanzee trekking at Budongo Forest and Departure.
After a Lip-smacking breakfast meal at the lodge, you will head for a rewarding Chimpanzee trekking experience at Budongo forest. This lasts for approximately 1-4 hours, with thorough explanations on the life of the Chimps by the park rangers, followed by lunch. Thereafter, you will proceed to Ziwa Rhino sanctuary for a one-hour Rhino trekking. Arrival at the airport will be late in the evening for dinner and overnight.
