12 Days Thrilling Uganda Adventure Holiday

In these 12 days of Uganda safaris, there will be a true definition for experience, falling in love with Mother Nature, and unlimited fun. What we have done is; make a trip plan that perfectly suits your moods, taste, and Preference. Accommodation, transportation, and meal plans are a result of the best choices.

Selection of attractions range from Murchison Fall National park, Kibale national park, semiliki National Park, Bwindi impenetrable national park, reptile village, city, and Queen Elizabeth national park. Activities include among others game drive, boat cruise, and Bird watching, cultural adventure and city tours among others. Pick up and drop off at Entebbe international airport.

Detailed trip.

Day 1: Reptile Village and City Tour.

On this day, our company representative will gladly welcome and brief you about the entire safari experience in 12 days. Thereafter drive to the reptile village; home to a variety of reptile species rescued from the community for the world to have a look at. These include among others; snakes, crocodiles, snails, and tortoises among others.

Lunch follows in the city, and then a 2-3 hour tour, visiting the Museum, craft village, and the independence monument. Afterwards, you will head to the hotel for refreshment, dinner, and overnight.

Day 2: Drive to Murchison Falls National park – Rhino Tracking.

Fresh from sleep, the lips will get active with a breakfast meal, after which you will check out of the lodge for a transfer to Murchison Falls National park; the oldest and largest national park in Uganda. The drive lasts for approximately 5-6 hours, plus an en-route stopover at Ziwa Rhino sanctuary to track the endangered Rhinos; a member of Africa big5. After Rhino tracking, you will have a lunch break, before proceeding to the lodge in the park for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Game drive and Boat Cruise.

Wrapped this day is a rewarding 3-4 hour sunrise game drive at the northern sector of the park. If you will spend the night at the southern wing, then be sure of waking up very early in the morning to catch up with the ferry crossing to the north.

The game drive offers a perfect opportunity of taking amazing landscape photos, encountering several mammals, notably; lions, elephants, giraffes, buffalos, leopards, warthogs, and several antelope species. Also, there will be a bush breakfast, followed by a yummy lunch break.

At 2:00 pm local time, there will be a Thrilling 2-3 hour cruise to the bottom of the falls; a point where you will catch the breathtaking waterfall; squeezing itself on a 7 meter gorge to R. Nile. You will take photos, have a top of waterfall hike, before returning to the lodge for a dinner meal and a nap.

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park.

After enjoying the cool night at Murchison fall national park, you will have a yummy breakfast at the lodge, before checking out for a transfer to Kibale National park; home to over 13 primate species, dominated by the chimpanzees, man’s closest relatives.

On your way to Kibale, you will have a stopover for lunch and continue to the park for check inn for dinner and overnight. Throughout the Journey; your eyes will fall in love with the captivating landscape, green plantations, and the smiles from the natives.

Day 5: Chimpanzee trekking and Bigodi wetland Tour.

Wake up early morning for a well-prepared breakfast that will warm you up and depart for chimpanzee trekking in the wilderness of the park where you will get a chance to view different primates such as, Chimpanzees, Monkeys and Baboons.

You will be able to see birds such as white-breasted pitta. After the trek, you will have your delicious lunch and depart to Bigodi wetland where you will encounter interesting tribes such as Bakiga, Batoro and you get a chance to trail through Bigodi swamp where you will view different species of birds such as the Great Blue Turaco. Then return to the lodge.

Day 6: Transfer to Semuliki National park.

Early morning, you will have your breakfast and depart to semiliki national park; a short drive that comes with amazing views of the backdrop of the great snowcapped mountain Rwenzori; the second tallest mountain in Africa. We shall have a stopover in fort portal city for Lunch, visit Nyakasura hills, Amabere ganyinamwiru, and continue to the park for check inn. Dinner and overnight marks the end of today’s adventure

Day 7: Birding and Night game drive.

This day starts with a tasty cup of coffee, and then a rewarding 6-hour bird search, in a jungle with over 450 unique bird species; those endemic, and non-endemic to the Albertine Region, and migrants among others. While ticking your bird list; pay attention to their sound, feather color, body sizes, beaks, and eyes among others.

The beauty of birding is that every passing minute arrives with a unique bird and attraction. After bird watching, you will return to the lodge for lunch and a little rest, before having a night game drive, in search of the nocturnal creatures and hunters, notably the lions, hyenas, and hippos among others.

Day 8: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Today, you will have a relaxed breakfast meal, flavored with a two-hour nature walk, through the designated places. Thereafter, you will check out of the lodge to the park loved by everybody; Queen Elizabeth national park; an asylum to the tree-climbing lions, four of Africa big5, breathtaking landscape, and amazing weather.

You will enjoy the scenic view of the snowcapped mountain Rwenzori backdrop, flourishing plantations, and vast water bodies. Upon reaching the park, check-in; have lunch, and spend the evening on a bike ride, or relaxing at the lodge balcony. Dinner and overnight mark the end of the days’ plan.

Day 9: Game drive and Boat cruise.

Morning game drive after breakfast, with hopes of encountering lions, leopards, Buffaloes, cheetahs, Uganda kobs, zebras, warthogs, and giraffes among others, grazing, hunting, or relaxing. Other attractions you will encounter in the 3-4 hour drive include birds and primates.

Thereafter you will have a lunch break, followed by a rewarding afternoon boat cruise at Kazinga channel; a two-hour experience that comes with sights of a school of hippos, and crocodiles, elephants, waterbuck, and several aquatic birds.  The days’ experience will be summed up with dinner and a happy nap.

Day 10: Queen Elizabeth national park to Bwindi Impenetrable forest. Enroute tree climbing lions tracking.

After an early morning cup of coffee, you will exit Queen Elizabeth national park for Bwindi impenetrable national park; home to the largest concentration of the mountain Gorilla species.  While on the drive, you will have a stopover at the Ishasha sector, to track the tree climbing lions; hopefully you chance finding some on the tree branch or the ground.

Entering the park will be in the afternoon, with an option of resting or engaging in any activity as dinner and overnight are the last in today’s program.

Day 11: Gorilla trekking and Batwa pygmies encounter.

Start this day with a lip-smacking breakfast meal, followed by an early morning drive to the park headquarters for a pre trekking briefing and registration, by the park rangers who explain the tracking rules and regulations, locate members to the different Gorilla families, and then escort you to find them. This search is what we call the unforgettable gorilla trekking; starting from the point the apes were last spotted to where they are expected to be.

Gorilla trekking can last for 1-6 hours, plus an extra hour with the Apes, closely watching and taking photos of the breast-feeding mothers, giant silverbacks and happy young stars play. You will thereafter return to the lodge for lunch, followed by a thrilling experience with the Batwa pygmies; renowned forest occupants, hunters, and gatherers. This day ends at the lodge with dinner and overnight stay.

Day 12: Depart back to Kampala.

After having the best of adventure in the Pearl of Africa, you will partake of your yummy breakfast meal at the lodge, and then checkout for a drive to Entebbe airport to get your onward flight to the next destination.

While enjoying the drive, you will stop at the equator to witness the experiments, take photos and enjoy delicious meals.
